AAT & working towards ACCA (part qualified)

Previous experience (including any relevant work or volunteering outside of practice):

I have over 4 years’ experience, progressing from accounts into audit working with a variety of different organisations including limited companies, charities and academies. I’m AAT qualified and part-qualified ACCA – hoping to qualify in June 2027!

Describe what you do in your role (i.e. expertise, specialisms etc):

My experience includes preparing accounts, conducting audits from planning through to completion as well as assisting junior members of the team and reviewing their work.

Outline your ambitions in your new role:

I am looking forward to gaining more knowledge within audit and accounts and building my experience as a senior while progressing towards completing my ACCA qualification.

What do you like about your role?

I enjoy working in audit as it gives you exposure to a variety of clients and a good understanding of how different organisations operate.

What skills or behaviours make you good at your role?

Organised and attention to detail.

How do you approach work?

Prioritising tasks – I love a to-do list!!

Outside of work, what do you like doing/are you interested in?

Am into my fitness; I enjoy running, going to the gym and taking my little dog out for nice walks in the countryside. Am also currently trying to learn Spanish!
