I’ve worked in accountancy practice, for charities and also done payroll at the NHS.

Describe what you do in your role (i.e. expertise, specialisms etc):

I pride myself on my attention to detail, building client relationships and transforming payroll processes to make everything work better.

Outline your ambitions in your new role:

I look forward to getting to know all our clients and what they want from a payroll service. Maybe the current set of reports they receive doesn’t quite fill their information needs and we can tailor them to match their requirements.

What do you like about your role?

I love delivering an accurate, timely payroll for clients and helping them navigate any uncertainty they might have so that payroll is not a headache and something that just happens for them with the minimum of fuss.

What skills or behaviours make you good at your role

I have a probing mentality and am passionate about delivering results. I want to make sure that everything I do is the best it can be for our clients. I try to see payroll from the clients point of view and then I think you are really working together on it and not just going through the motions.

How do you approach work?

I am very methodical and I want to fully understand the complete picture before I process payroll. I am definitely not the sort of person who will dive straight into something without understanding it first.
