Bill qualified as a Chartered Accountant with one of the UK’s top four firms of accountants, where he spent nine years before reaching the level of Department Manager.
After deciding to leave the ‘Big Four’, Bill took up a position at Thomas Coombs in 1987 as Senior Manager, becoming Partner in 1990.
During his time at the firm, he built up a large portfolio of personal and business clients covering a wide variety of sectors. Whilst reducing his workload, he continues to deal with a number of family trusts and remians a point of contact for clients.
When not in the office, Bill can often be found at the waterside, partaking in his passion for angling.
Formerly keen tennis player, Bill played tennis in the Huddersfield league for more than 25 years and also in the Wakefield District league. Bill also played cricket for Penguins Cricket Club from the 1970’s until recently.
